Man I was so chuffed when they announced Jodie. Honestly the reaction has been more positive than I expected, but then I probably haven’t been looking in the dark corners of Twitter. I didn’t expect them to actually go with a female doctor despite hoping for it - I’m glad to be proven wrong! I should try and be less cynical about things clearly. I’ve always loved Doctor Who growing up with it and it heavily influenced my love of Sci-Fi. It’s always been such a massive cultural touchstone for british people and kids and I’m just so pleased they didn’t bottle it.
This show is such a rollercoaster of quality and nonsense and I adore it so much.
